General Information

Hotel Ashoka- Samrat Complex,

Chanakya Puri, New Delhi

The Hotel is 15 kms from the International Airport, 10 kms from domestic airport and 9 kms from New Delhi Railway station.

Official Language

The official language of conference is English

Weather

It will be pleasant in February in Delhi with temperature ranging from maximum of 18 - 22 degree C to minimum of 9 - 12 degree C.

Visa & Immigration

All visitors coming from overseas will require visa for India. It has to be obtained from the Indian mission abroad. One should posses a valid national passport (except in the case of Nepalese and Bhutanese nationals), who may carry suitable means of identification. Visitors are generally required to make an oral identification of their baggage and declaration of foreign currency in their possession.

Letter of Invitation

Invitation letter will be issued on request to facilitate the delegate travel. However, this does not imply any financial support towards expenses for attending the conference, such as registration, travel and hotel accommodation. Please write to organizing secretary at aicog@aicog2008.net for invitation letter and indicate if letter in email will be enough or printed letter in post is needed.

Registration Fee

Appropriate registration fees must be paid in advance for confirmation of delegate status. Delegate fee for conference include attendance at scientific sessions, admission to trade exhibition and poster display area, lunch on 3rd/4th/5th February 2008, tea /coffee and delegate kit.

Delegate Badges

Badges will be issued to all persons registered and must be worn at all times while in the venue. Admission may be denied by security staff if badge is not worn.

Certificate of Attendance

Certificate of Attendance will be given at conference venue to all delegates who attend the conference. Separate certificate will be given for workshops and this will be given at the workshop venue.

Baggage Storage

It is regretted that due to security regulations there will be no place and provision to store your bags and belongings at the conference venue. Please bring only most essential small hand bag with you.

Inauguration and VIP Lectures

It is regretted that due to security concerns it may not be possible for you to carry any item in hand, camera, cellphone, etc. inside the hall for particular period depending on the dignitary present on that occasion.

Accommodation

Plenty of hotels ranging from budget, economy to luxury segments are available at close proximity from the conference venue. Registered delegates can get hotels booked by filling and mailing the request form to the Official Travel Agent “Plan It! by Creative Travel Pvt. Ltd.”

Organizing Committee Office

Organizing Committee Office will also be located at conference venue on 1st to 5th February 2008 and you can visit office for any enquiries and difficulties that you may face during the event.

Trade Exhibition

A trade Exhibition will be held at the conference venue and will feature a variety of surgical equipments, pharmaceutical products, etc. Exhibitors will be given certificate of participation.

Sponsorship for Conference

Sponsorship in variety of forms is available to the persons and organizations and their active participation is welcome in this mega educational event with potential for widespread dissemination of product and services. members are requested to help by enlisting sponsorship for AICOG 2008 and the trade brochure can be seen on the website www.aicog2008.net and organizing secretary can be contacted for further details at aicogtrade@aicog2008.net

Disclaimer

The organizing committee reserves the right to change venue and programme of the conference without prior notice or even postpone or cancel the event altogether in circumstances beyond its control. The organizers will not be responsible and liable for any damage to delegates, accompanying persons, trade exhibitors and volunteers etc.

Note: A discount of 10% will be given to FOGSI members traveling by Jet airways from any part of India to New Delhi from 30 Jan to 15th feb 2008
